Thrikkakara is a panchayath just few kilometers from
Ernakulam city. It is a major industrial and residential area located east of
the city of Cochin. Kakkanad area, a part of Thrikkakara is the administrative
headquarters of the district of Ernakulam in Kerala, India.
Thrikkakara is home to many important Government
buildings. These include the Civil Station, District panchayat office,
Kochi TV station, Kochi FM station, Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ),
